Sun Flare

Happy Flare Friday! I got a new push of flare inspiration recently from a post on Shutter Sisters, so here's the flare I found this week! It's been a busy one, and I've been extremely exhausted when I haven't been out doing all the various activities... Washington Square Park, History Museum, Met, Central Park, Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge, Botanical Garden, Financial District, High Line Park, Guggenheim, Magnolia Bakery, Sweet Melissa's, East Village, Soho, Union Square... Two more days of fun, heading back to Central Park today and the Beach tomorrow!

I have large amounts of photos to share and still some from our vacation that I want to get up! Maybe next week... Have a wonderful Friday!

Looking for the Message

Living in NYC, I see words and messages written everywhere! From the tagging on the tops of buildings as my train descends from the Manhattan Bridge into Manhattan to the bathroom walls of Many bathrooms to the stickers and spray paint left on signs as I walk the streets or the murals painted all over the city. And recently, I got a chance to leave my own message... In the bathroom of a new establishment down the block.

To see some of my other finds, click on these posts: Messages of Peace, Yo, Enjoy Life Now, Williamsburg Hipsters, and Peace is in the Paint. (Notice a theme??? Does the message I left surprise you?)

Today's post on Shutter Sisters inspired this post.

Someone Somewhere Loves You

Hope written on the bench. (Captured this on the Brooklyn Bridge, NYC)

This month, I'll be capturing Hope, inspired by the Shutter Sisters One Word Project. Speaking of Hope, a few Shutter Sisters are participating in the Name Your Dream Assignment contest. Their project, Picturing Hope, is very moving and can be found here. Please go to this site, register quickly (takes less than a minute), and vote for Hope. There are only a few days left before the voting is closed, so go quickly!

See what other pictures of Hope are being shared... Here!
