A Sunset Caught

Isn't it beautiful? I literally ran out of work today, not for the soul purpose of catching the sun setting (although, it should have been, considering I never see it lately). I ran because it was Friday, and it was a horrible one on the work-front. Exhausted on the subway, I feel asleep hardcore for the first time in a while... I jumped awake at the underground stop right before my subway came above ground. Just in time to see the beautiful sky, the sunset creating art in the world outside my window. Today was a day to get that window seat.

Hope you saw a beautiful sunset today too. And if not, I guess you can have a piece of mine to call your own. I don't mine sharing :)

Sun Flare

Happy Flare Friday! I got a new push of flare inspiration recently from a post on Shutter Sisters, so here's the flare I found this week! It's been a busy one, and I've been extremely exhausted when I haven't been out doing all the various activities... Washington Square Park, History Museum, Met, Central Park, Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge, Botanical Garden, Financial District, High Line Park, Guggenheim, Magnolia Bakery, Sweet Melissa's, East Village, Soho, Union Square... Two more days of fun, heading back to Central Park today and the Beach tomorrow!

I have large amounts of photos to share and still some from our vacation that I want to get up! Maybe next week... Have a wonderful Friday!

Sun is Shining

We are hoping for this kind of sunshine this weekend, but I have to say that whether or not it's shining, I'll definitely be happy to greet the weekend! The plan for Saturday includes an intense badminton tournament in the park. Should be a good time with lots of friends and maybe even meeting a few new friends! As long as the rain holds back, we'll be having a great time there.

Between the Buildings

I haven't participated in Flare Friday in a while, and yesterday when I was out and the sun above my head shining down, I was able to get a few great shots of flare. It's been a while since I've wondered through the skyscrapers looking up in the daytime. Yesterday was a tease for the summer break to come in the next 5 weeks. I'll have two months to roam NYC and enjoy adventures in my city.

Happy Friday! I'm kind of sad today. The weekend is coming, which is Usually much needed. But not this week. The weekends means I am getting closer to going back to work on Monday. I've enjoyed my break, every moment of it. Waking up to sunlight filling our apartment, walking Seth to the subway, getting coffee and relaxing at the coffee shop, enjoying time with my nephew and sister-in-law, practicing photography and photoshop. Yes, I have enjoyed every moment of it. I'm going to spend some time on the roof, soaking in some Vitamin D (wish I had a stoop... today I feel like sitting on a stoop.)

Friday Fill-in:

1. Join me in an afternoon in the park.

3. Happiness is exploring the city, camera in hand, husband beside me.

4. Lost and confused.

5. I'm waiting for motivation to arrive so I can clean my apartment.

6. The sweet shop on my way home is hard to resist.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching a movie, tomorrow my plans include eating the breakfast my husband makes me and enjoying the wonderful weather outside and Sunday, I want to watch Desperate Housewives, catch up on work, and get my pictures moved onto my new external hard drive (1 TB = 300,000 pictures!)

Happy Friday! I've been needing this day to come all week :) I'm looking forward to the forecasted 60 degree and sunny weather we are to have today... And I'm hurrying home after work so I can get out and enjoy it for a few moments!
