Sofia Photo a Day Challenge

A photographer friend of mine does a photo a day of her lovely and lively little girl. I have been looking at her weekly photos for a while now. Recently she told me that I should put on the prime lens I have that I wasn't quite sure about and just leave it for a while. I figured it might be fun to try to shoot a photo of Sofia a day with my actual camera using my prime lens. (If you follow me on Instagram you know that I shoot 10 photos a day of Sofia with my phone).

Crazy Hair

Sofia walked with Seth to the coffee shop yesterday morning. He unbundled her when they got home and her hair was crazy. This baby makes me laugh more than I ever imagined possible!

Oh Mom Pa-Leeeeeeze don't take my photo right now.

Little Breakfast Eater

Latest Obsession: Lids

Watching my baby grow and learn and figure things out is one of the most amazing things I've ever done! Her latest obsession is lids. She especially loves the bottle of lavender hand sanitizer. I just keep hoping she doesn't accidentally spray it in her eyes. I guess I should find her something "safer" to play with.... but she actually goes in the diaper bag and gets this out herself. Between taking it away when I couldn't monitor the direction of the sprayer and her getting frustrated by the lid not doing what she wanted it to, we did have a few tears shed... Ohhh toddlerhood I see you raising your independent toddler head already!

Notice her tongue sticking out in most of the photos? I think she had that thing sticking out for a couple hours today!

Morning Clapping

Some early morning clapping. Maybe she's applauding the new day? Sometimes her clapping starts before she even opens her eyes. The cutest thing EVER!

 Almost every morning includes some time looking out the window.

Sofia's 1st Birthday Party

We had our first "kid" table. I can't wait for Sofia to be able to join her cousins for dinner (but in no time, P will be with us while the little girls are at their own table ;)

Sofia's birthday dinner. We were supposed to have soup, but I accidentally cooked away all the precious broth I'd made from scratch (and with our food limitations there's no popping over to the store to buy a carton of broth option here...) At the last minute, I decided we'd have tacos/burritos.

Uncle Bric played Sofia her first birthday song. I hope he'll play for her next birthday too!

All the one year olds we've sang happy birthday to this fall have done the same thing Sofia did... Go straight for the flame!

Can't waste a single drop of that ice cream. Some will even lick it off their dresses!

And somehow our baby turned one.
