Somebody small and cute turned one over the weekend! We celebrated the whole weekend through too! One year of being parents to this wonderful one year old. Daddy brought her out to her first birthday present from us - a repainted kitchen set that I have worked on for a month.
(Notice the doors hadn't been reattached at this point... Baby girl has since gotten doors for her kitchen cupboards!)
I decided it would be a fun tradition to do birthday candles in special birthday pancakes. This year's pancakes were pumpkin pancakes. They were a big hit!
Sofia wanted to touch the fire.
And then eat the whole stack of pancakes right from her plate!
We spent Saturday doing some birthday party errands, watching the K-State game, and opening some presents.
Her first coin from Grandma Mimi. She was so adorable holding onto it and checking it out!
One of the awesome gifts from Uncle Ben, Aunt Desi, Tristan, and Khloe. She's a big fan of that panda!
Opening presents from Nana and Papa...
While they watch from Kansas through video chatting (which was an awesome way for them to be a part of Sofia's first birthday!)
Loving the bucket of shapes. (And by the way Nana and Papa, she's warming up to the winding animal noise toy. She touched it yesterday, and today she played with it for a while as I pulled the lever to make the animal noises.)
Saturday evening was spent celebrating Sofia's birthday buddy, her cousin P, and Sunday evening was her birthday dinner. More photos to come soon!!
